Abstract: | The fundamental segment of ecotourism is the utilization of natural assets as a methodology for sustainable growth and as a part of tourist activities without making harm to the surroundings. Tourism is one of the significant sectors in Jharkhand because it can bring new employment opportunities, reducing poverty, and improving the living standard especially for the local community of Jharkhand. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best Ecotourism destinations compare to other destinations of Jharkhand with lots of potentials, where nature lovers can find numerous wildlife, can go for ecotourism activities, just need government support and sound marketing strategies to promote this sanctuary worldwide. This research work is an exploratory as well as descriptive study which aims to find out how the Ecotourism development process influenced the local community to participate and become a showcase of local and traditional culture and lifestyle of the respective place. This study also reveals the overall destination experiences of the tourist in Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary on the Ecotourism activities, an initiative taken by the concerned government and the other stakeholders. The result of this study will be a utility for the forest department and another government official, who is dealing directly or indirectly with the Ecotourism development process in Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary and help them to understand the opportunities that are lagging in the respective sanctuary and also can understand the types of critical challenges while Ecotourism development process. As well, it will help them to make new planning, strategies and provide ideas to implement them in such a way so that there is a minimal negative impact on the local community, environment in a sustainable manner. newline |
