Abstract: Education is the process of acquiring knowledge and gethering information that influences our values,our beliefs, skills and habits. The educational system of India and the global world are projecting the future of students into a race where they will be in search of a short cut for a successful life and will struggle to develop an appealing personality with an appropriate equilibrium of intelligence and knowledge. Emotional Intelligence refers to the potential to feeling, using, communicating, recognizing, remembering, learning, managing and understanding of emotions. Career Decision Making refers to the cognitive decision for the choice of future career. So the present research is an attempt to study the Role of Emotional Intelligence in Career Decision Making of Senior Secondary Level Students. The major objectives of the existing study were: 1) To study the significant difference in emotional intelligence of boys and girls senior secondary school students; 2) To study the significant difference in career decision making of boys and girls of senior secondary school students; 3) To study the significant difference in the emotional intelligence of government and private senior secondary school students; 4) To study the significant difference in career decision making of government and private senior secondary school students; and 5) To find out the significant relationship between emotional intelligence and career decision making of senior secondary school students. The hypotheses of the study were: 1) There is no significant difference in emotional intelligence of boys and girls senior secondary school students; 2) There is no significant difference in career decision making of boys and girls senior secondary school students; 3) There is no significant difference in emotional intelligence of government and private senior secondary school students; 4) There is no significant difference in career decision making of government and private senior secondary school students; and 5) There is no significant
