Abstract: Recently, the volume of data that are created and processed has been increasing. The users could outsource the data and retrieve them every time they needed with the aid of Cloud Storage Service (CSS). Outsourcing to cloud engenders grave privacy concerns since the process might embrace sharing sensitive information with the illegitimate users. Hence prior to outsourcing data, they are ought to be encrypted. Nevertheless, traditional key search centric encryption approaches fails to support simpler operations or direct searches over such encrypted data. So, a more efficient and secure scheme is vastly demanded for storing and easily retrieving the selected data with the aid of the cloud. The objective behind this thesis is to design a system that effectually preserves the data retrieval in the cloud. Duly, the thesis made two most notable contributions. The first contribution is to help users in retrieving their required hashed encrypted documents as of the cloud data by performing the Secure and Privacy-preserving Keyword Search Retrieval methodology. The 3 prime entities that are regarded in this proposed system are, i) Data Owner, ii) Cloud Server as well as iii) Data Users. A set of hashed encrypted documents, together with created searchable index trees are initially outsourced by the Data Owner to the cloud server for storage. For retrieving the required data, Data User searches over the data (hashed encrypted ones) in the cloud. During experimental evaluation, the proposed system are analyzed and contrasted to the existing approaches, where the outcomes corroborate the dominance of the proposed system. newline
