Abstract: Plants have potential medicinal value and have been used in conventional system as therapeutic agents. Present investigation on Cissusquadrangularis plant and Cardiospermumhalicacabum plant crude ethanol extract and methanol extract was subjected both individually and in combination to study the phytochemical, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer potential and proliferation properties of the plants. The phytochemical studies of Cissusquadrangularis and Cardiospermumhalicacabum revealed that the ethanolic and methanolic extracts contained wide range of metabolites. Tannins, saponins, alkaloids, steroids and phenols were predominantly found in both the plant extracts sample. Test sample plant extracts exhibited standard antimicrobial action specifically to growth of Bacillus subtilisorganismand Trichodermavirideorganismboth individually and in combined proportions. Antioxidant activity of the combined ethanol extract was double of individual extract. The result revealed that the cytotoxicity of the extracts against Vero was less pronounced as even at the highest concentration cell viability was found to be more than 50%. Anticancer studies indicated that the activity of extracts was more profound in HeLa cells when compared to MCF7 cell lines and IC50 was attained 62.5µg/ml concentration in most cases. The proliferation analysis was performed on MG-63 cell lines, and the proliferation rate was found to be more in combined extract, with increase in time and concentration cell proliferation also increased and no cytotoxicity was noted in the MG-63 cells. The extracts showed various Biological characteristics. These properties can be attributed to the chemical constituents of the plant. KeyWords:phytochemical, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, proliferation. newline
