dc.description.abstractThe Indian educational industry witnessed a remarkable success story for the past two decades. The growth of educational sector largely depends upon the climate prevailing in educational institutions. In spite of its growth the educational sector face numbers of challenges in the unpredictable economy. The Institutional climate and competent teaching faculty in Self-financing Engineering colleges enables delivering the qualified graduates with required skill-sets according to industry requirements. The mushrooming of engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu does not guarantee the promotion of congenial institutional climate to the teaching faculty and the student community. Since this area is highly manpower intensive in nature, institutional climate determines the faculty performance to a greater extent, so a research was conducted for studying and analyzing the teaching professionals perception towards Institutional Climate with reference to self-finance Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu . The primary aim of the study is to investigate the teaching professionals perception towards Institutional Climate through and its impact on Individual Work Performance in self-finance engineering colleges in Tamilnadu state. The descriptive research design is followed in the research. The primary data of the research is collected through structured questionnaire by stratified random sampling method. The sample size of the research is 662. The survey was conducted among the teaching professionals working in various designations, departments, and colleges located in Tamilnadu state. newline
