The Automatic Generation Control (AGC) problem is an essential concern in power utility it plays a major role of the complicated structure and dimension of the interconnected power systems. The power system is responsible to make certain the adequate energy transferred to the consumers reliable with quality. A power system regularly changes the load due to different loading environment. Consecutively it is arduous to maintain the frequency and newlinevoltage with prescribed limits. The control of frequency is achieved by the primary control or the governor control mechanism. But the Area Control Error (ACE) always present in the system. The secondary controllers are surmounting this ACE to zero. The design tunes the controllers to enhance the better dynamic performance and stability of these eccentric conditions. The optimal PID controller, intelligent controller, adaptive controller and heuristic controllers performed the satisfactory of the system. The optimal design of PID controller gains automatically adjusted over the different loading conditions. These controllers are additionally the best performer in the nonlinear quandaries. The aim of this work is to minimize the area control error, settling time, undershoots and overshoots deviations of frequency and net interchange tie-line error. Generally the gain values of the PID Control parameters obtain by tribulation and error technique and it need additional computation time. To reduce this obscurity of tuning of PID gains Evolutionary algorithm approach can be habituated to optimize the PID gains. newline newline
