dc.description.abstractThe Wire Electrical Discharge Machining process is an important non-conventional machining process capable of machining any conductive materials into complex two dimensional and three dimensional shapes with precision. In the present work WEDM of AISI D3 steel (corner accuracy investigations), MONEL 400 (Multi-pass cutting to enhance corner accuracy) and the parametric study on Aluminium (LM25)/ Fly ash/ B4C Hybrid Composites are reported. The first two works namely WEDM of AISI D3 steel and MONEL 400 alloy are investigating the corner accuracy improvements of the profiles by using wire path modification strategy and multi-pass cutting strategy. At the corner of the profiles, the uncut area left between the programmed path and the actual path of the wire is termed as Corner error (CE) and the objective of these works is to enhance the corner accuracy by minimizing the CE. In the third work, parametric study during the WEDM of Aluminium (LM25)/ Fly ash/ B4C Hybrid Composites is presented. newline
