Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are a collection of a considerable number of mobile nodes that form a temporary system without the aid of any existing network infrastructure or central access point. Each node participating in the network acts both as host and router. Therefore it is willing to forward packets for other nodes. This research reveals the issues of routing in Mobile ad hoc Networks (MANETs) related to broadcasting such as latency, delay and node interference. Broadcasting is a necessary function in mobile ad-hoc networks. Broadcasting is transmitting the packets that will be received by every device on the system. Broadcasting relies on routing protocols in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. As network size increases, delay and latency also increase. To reduce these, many such dominant protocols had been invented. Another sophisticated protocol to reduce latency, interference and collision is on research. The idea is when we tune the MAC layer; we could reap specific performance benefits. One such protocol is ADRP. ADRP is a duo pack of approximation algorithm pasted on to Directional Routing Protocol. ADRP considerably decreases the latency of the network, delay of the system thereby increasing the overall throughput and approximation ratio. These problems could be overcome by the proposed algorithm ADRP (Approximate Directional Routing Protocol) which is mainly inspired by the existing on-demand directional routing protocol DRP. DRP is also similar to DSR. newline
