Abstract: | Databases and database system have become an essential component life in newlinemodern society. In the course of a day most of us encounter several activities newlinethat involve some interaction with databases. Now days, because of the newlineinformation technology revolution, fast access to information and its efficient newlinemanagement are key to the success of any activities such as business and other newlinesimilar once. Today business applications are not the old styled batch newlineapplications, rather they do their data processing activities online modern newlineelectronic service and electronic commerce applications, characterized by high newlinevolumes of transaction cannot survive without an online support of computer newlinesystem and database technology. Therefore, database systems (DBS) play an newlineimportant role in managing the voluminous data and there processing for the newlinefirst growing current business environment. Existing and emerging applications newlinerequire new functionalities. The performance need and emerging applications newlinerequire not only the management of large data sets, but also new processing newlinestrategies. newlineA database is a collection of data that is stored and maintained at one central newlinelocation. A database is controlled by a database management system. The user newlineinteracts with the database management system is utilize the database and newlinetransform data into information. Furthermore, a database offers many newlineadvantages in compared to a simple file system with regard to speed, accuracy newlineand accessibility such as: shared access minimal redundancy, data integrity and newlinecontrolled access. All of these aspects are enforced by a database management newlinesystem. newline12 newlineDistributed database is a collection of database that can be stored in different newlinecomputer network sites. Each database may involve different database newlinemanagement system and different architectures that distribute the execution of newlinetransactions. The object of distributed database management system (DDBMS) newlineis to control the management of a distributed database (DDB) in such a way newlinethat it appears to the user as a centralized |
