Abstract: In this thesis, we have made an attempt to study the formation and evolution of the Milky Way Galaxy. We have presented galactic chemical evolution models to understand the role of various parameters in Galaxy evolution. The elemental abundance evolution of stable and short-lived radio nuclides in the entire Galaxy is predicted in the present work. Also, metallicity, star formation rate, supernova rates, surface mass density of gas, stars, and remnants, etc., is also predicted for the Milky Way Galaxy. We have also provided a hypothesis for the formation of solar system based on the GCE models for short-lived radio nuclides. Further, we have incorporated the stellar rotational yields for massive stars (and#8805; 11Mand#664;) to study their influence on the evolution of the Galaxy. newline
