Abstract: Women are vital element of society. A society s progress depends newlinelargely on progress of women and therefore, women need to be considered as newlineimportant pillar not only of domestic life but also in social life. Women newlineempowerment and women participation is the crucial issue in economic newlinedevelopment and prosperity of our country. The developed countries have newlineequal participation of women in all walks of life. The low-participation of newlinewomen in economic activities in India is due to social setup of this country. It is newlinea fact that women can contribute more and they are willing to adopt any type newlineof activity more sincerely and with more interest than the men but the newlineopportunities are denied to them due to psychological, cultural, social and newlineeducational hurdles. Even in the case of manual jobs they are not reluctant newlinebut all social obstacles come in their way. newlineThe socio-economic conditions of women have attracted attention newlineworldwide. Women who is seen as daughter, sister, wife and mother at home, newlineis also an important factor of production when seen as women labour. So the newlineprosperity and growth of a nation depends on the status and development of newlineits women. Looking towards the role played by her in society and her newlineimportant contribution to the national income, women labour attracts study newlineboth at micro as well as macro level. A study of socio-economic conditions of newlinewomen labour has become one of the burning topics all over the world and newlineparticularly in India. There is a large element of unprotected women labour newlineworking in different parts of the country particularly in unorganised sectors of newlinethe towns and cities. In view of this, it was decided to study the socioeconomic newlineconditions of women labour in Unorganized Sectors in Rae Bareli newlineDistrict of Uttar Pradesh. Women labour work both in organized as well as newlineunorganized sector of Rae Bareli.
