Abstract: newline newline The explosive reputation of Ad Hoc Network and the availability of wide variety of computing and communicating devices over the past few years lead to superior degree of demand for mobile ad hoc network in computer and communication field It has been found that Mobile Ad Hoc Network has been under stable resource of interest among the researchers for the last two decades Several researches have been carried out to improve the performance but there are still some notable improvements to be performed in Mobile Ad Hoc Network on various aspects A Mobile Ad Hoc Network is a collection of arbitrarily movable mobile nodes that build a temporary infrastructure less network without any support from the centralized controller The mobile nodes can move around but they are still remaining connected with the rest of the world The word ad hoc is Latin word and means for this purpose As the meaning suggests that the network is built for special situations and is dismantled without any difficulty In Mobile Ad Hoc Network all the mobile nodes coordinate among themselves to facilitate the communication Possible and the mobile nodes organize among themselves for the purpose of routing with the available resources in a distributed manner Each mobile node in the Mobile Ad Hoc Network should be intelligent enough to play dual role of a terminal and a router The mobile nodes are typically battery powered and have a limited power source So, energy consumption is a key issue in the Mobile Ad Hoc Network sometimes the energy depletion causes failures of a node that can affect the whole network If one node runs out of energy the probability of network separation will increase There is a need to consider the various energy efficient ways to reduce the energy consumption and to prolong the lifetime of the Mobile Ad Hoc Network newline newline
