Clinical evaluation of effect of Ketakyadi Taila Katibasti and matrabasti in newlineKatishoola. newlineMaterials and Methods newlineThe study was carried out on total of 70 volunteers, randomly divided in to 3 groups out of newlinewhich 60 completed treatment. In Kati Basti group 22 patients were registered and 20 newlinecompleted treatment where as in Matra Basti group 25 were registered number and 20 newlinecompleted treatment similarly in combined group 23 registered and 20 completed the newlinetreatment. Observations were made related to demographic data, etiological factors, newlinepresence of symptoms, score obtained on special Roga Bala etc assessment scale, newlineimprovement in Dosha, Dushya and pain intensity on visual analogue scale and changes on newlineradiographs on Kellegren Lawrance scale. newlineResults newlineResults obtained in those parameters were critically evaluated in the discussion portion. newlineDegeneration cascade method can be correlated with Samprapti Ghataka of Kati Shoola. In newlinedemographic data it was observed that maximum number of patients in the present study newlinewere, age wise 51- 60 years (38.3%), males (51.6%), physical labour and Businessmen s newline(30%), (35%) were belonging Rich and upper middle class, max patients from Sadarana newlineDesha (80%), Vata Prakriti Predominant (30%) followed by Vata Kapha Prakriti (26.6%), newlineMadhyama Samhanana (40%), having Tikshna agni (45%), having Madhyama Satva newlineAbstract newlineII newlineEffect of Ketakyadi taila Katibasti and Matrabasti in Katishoola w.s.r. to low back pain newline(53.3%), Avara Vyayama Shakti (60%) and Madhyama Vaya Pramana (51.6%). Amongst newlineNidana, food intake which is predominant in Ruksha, Laghu Guna and Shita Guna, newlineVishamashana pattern of diet, wrong positions and over working was observed in maximum newlinenumber of patients. Bhaya, Shoka and sudden jerks to the lumbar spine aggravate the newlinesymptoms |
