Abstract: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in newlinethe history of India s independence. Subhas Chandra Bose, along with leading leaders of newlinethe freedom struggle such as Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, had played an newlineimportant role in bringing freedom to the country in a proper manner from the clutches of newlineBritish rule. Subhas Chandra Bose played a very prominent and active role during 1930 s newlineand 1940 s in the Indian political life in India and in Southeast Asian countries. His newlinecontribution is in no way inferior to anyone. He was elected as the President of Indian newlineNational Congress twice in 1938 and 1939. It was his purpose of life to free his beloved newlinehomeland from foreign rule and for that he worked tirelessly. He revived and tremendous newlineled the I.N.A. from abroad against British power during Second World War. He filled the newlineinfinite national sentiment not only in the minds of Indians living in India but also in the newlineminds of Indians living abroad. As an active freedom fighter, Subhas Chandra Bose newlineretained his spirit of fighting against the British even in the last days of his life-even when newlinehe died he used to visit to Russia and was planning to find a new way to confront the newlineBritish people. His perseverance and patriotic enthusiasm was such that he should be newlinerespected more than any other. Subhas Chandra Bose was that immortal soldier of I.N.A. newlinewho will always shine on the psyche of the Indian public like a bright star. He was a man newlinewho had a unique combination of intellectual stature as well as bravery and courage to do newlinebig. The work that he did while living in India was so great that his name became newlineimmortal in the history of the country. But the historic event of the establishment of the newlineAzad Hind Government and the struggle for freedom of India from foreign lands newlineimmortalized his name not only in the history of India s freedom struggle, but also in the newlinehistory of the countries of Europe and Asia.
