dc.description.abstractINTRODUCTION: The last quarter of the twentieth century has seen childhood obesity emerging as an epidemic in developed countries and is a cause of concern worldwide. It is being reported in significant numbers from the nations previously considered poor or developing. It is no longer a problem of only the affluent countries. newlineRESEARCH METHODOLOGY: newlineResearch Design: Exploratory research design was adopted due to the nature of study. newlineData Collecting Method: Survey and observation methods were used by the researcher. newlineData Collecting Procedure: Two training programs were made with the help of various experts. The first training program included physical exercises for 60 minutes and similarly the yogasanas for 60 minutes. The training to both experimental groups were provided for 06 weeks, while no training was given to the subjects of control group. newlineSAMPLING DESIGN: The Probability sampling technique i.e. Area sampling method was used in this research study. newlineSource of Data: The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of the Physical Exercise and Yogasanas on Body composition and selected Anthropometric measurements of secondary school obese boys. To achieve this purpose of the study, 300 obese students (150 boys and 150 girls) studying in secondary D.A.V. schools of Punjab State were selected. The study was conducted by using the BMI children percentile formula by considering purposive sampling technique. The age of the subjects was ranged between 14 to 17 years. newline
