Abstract: | The purpose of this study is that, most of the people of Malwa region are suffering from many diseases. One of the most common, dangerous and uncure disease is cancer. Barnala district also belongs to Malwa region where many cancer patients are seen. Researcher lives in the village of Barnala district. With the guidance and encouragement of her guide, the researcher did a study of Barnala area and came across three main industries in Barnala region that are Yarn factory which is situated at Dhaula village, Gatta factory located at Cheema village and Trident company situated at the raikot road in Barnala city. Trident Company is not only a textile industry, but also make paper, chemicals and also has a sulphuric acid preparation plant. When we visited all these industries we saw that all the effluent of industries were discarded directly into drains and nearby agricultural fields. Although industries have treatment plants, but they do not make use of them. They used treatment plant only at the time of inspection of pollution control board, otherwise it becomes expensive to use daily. In order to check the extend of these industrial effluents on ground water quality, Agricultural soil and human health, Samples were collected and analyzed in various labs such as in the Environ Tech Laboratories, Mohali,International Testing Centre, Panchkula., The Himalaya drug company, Dehradun ,Uttarakhand , India., NIT Jalandhar, Punjab, India. All these samples were analyzed trimonthly in two years, such as in March 2016, June 2016, Sept.2016, Dec. 2016 and March 2017, June 2017, Sept. 2017, Dec.2017. newline |
