Abstract: | Summary Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, the individual susceptibility probably depends on prenatal, genetic and environmental risk factors like obesity, ethnic orgin like hirsutism, nutritional factors, androgen exposure, insulin resistance. It is primarily disrupted ovulation, hyperandrogenism. The objectives of the study are To assess the effectiveness of Yoga upon the high risk features of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome among adolescents in Group I. To assess the effectiveness of Physical Exercises upon the high risk features of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome among adolescents in Group II. Recommendations On the basis of findings of the study, the following recommendations have been made for the further study: A comparative study can be done to assess the awareness regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescent girls between rural and urban community. The present study can be conducted as a longitudinal and follow up research of yoga and physical exercise on level of polycystic ovarian syndrome of adolescent girls in the rural communities. A randomized control trail can be conducted to determine the effect of yoga and physical exercise to improve the health status of adolescent girls. A similar study could be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of yoga and physical exercises for polycystic ovarian syndrome among women. Nursing theory can be developed, constructed and tested on yoga and physical exercises applicable for the whole quantity of meta paradigm Similar study can be replicated on large scale there by findings can be generalized for the target population Qualitative approach can be initiated to generate hypothesis on yoga and physical exercises Limitations Data collection time was re-altered by the investigator as per the feasibility of the sample. Satisfaction of subject would have been measured. The investigator had constraints in administering the intervention to the student because of class test. newline |
