Abstract: This thesis investigates thedevelopment of a model for improved prediction of domestic electric energy demand and supply. An interactive model with Demand Side Management techniques is proposed to reduce the peak domestic electric energy demand in Ghana. The proposed model considershousehold type and class, demography and allied factors treating them as drivers of energy choices and determinants of domestic energy demand. The research envisages a prediction model to reduce prevalent gap between forecast and actual peak energy demand.
