Abstract: | The present work was undertaken with a view to collect more information on the species growing in the Indian subcontinent and detailed morphological studies were made at the place of collection and later on after transplantation in the experimental plots with detailed cytological studies with special reference to karyotype polyploidy male meiosis and pollen mitosis have been undertaken Abnormalities caused in chromosome synapsis and the causes thereof have been studied The effectiveness of centric chiasmata in the diploidization of segmental appoloids has been studied and discussed at length newline |
