dc.description.abstract | The investigation titled Employee Engagement: Identifying Gaps in Hospitality Industry is about the most broadening and spreading topic in Human Resource today. The late management guru, Peter Drucker said that the most influential word in any organization is People. It is the people/employees who play an important role in success of any organization where hospitality industry is no exception where employees of hospitality industry are no exception. The current research investigates the awareness of the concept of employee engagement as well as the levels of employee engagement in the hospitality industry of Rajasthan. The study covered hotels of prime tourist destinations of Rajasthan. newline newline Based on the thoughtful study of literature, the researcher concluded that employee engagement has become an important topic in recent years and that it is employee engagement which predicts financial gains, better performance, increased profits and overall organizational success of any industry including hospitality industry. When the employees are engaged thoroughly in their jobs, an organization experiences enhanced employee performance, higher rates of employee retention and better financial gains.
