Abstract: newline High performance DSP and Cryptographic algorithms can be designed using the sutras (Formulae) from Vedic Mathematics. An algorithm, named Urdhva Tiryagbhyam, also known as Vertically and Crosswise algorithm, is applied wherever the multiplication operations are required. Nikhilam sutra can also be used for multiplication. For the proposed algorithms, codings are written in Verilog HDL language and simulated using Modelsim 6.4a software. Timing and power analysis is analyzed using Quartus II 9.0. It is also implemented in Xilinx FPGA. The main objective of this research is to design high speed and low power algorithms.
