Abstract: Transdermal drug delivery of drugs provides an alternative to the oral route of newlinedrug administration and overcome the deficiencies associated with oral route of newlineadministration. First pass metabolism and low bioavailability can be overcome by newlineadministering the drug through transdermal route. Transdermal delivery involves newlineadministration of drug through skin and drug reaches directly to the systemic newlinecirculation and bypasses drugs first pass metabolism leading to increased newlinebioavailability. newlineThe other advantages of transdermal delivery include: painless administration, newlineeasy termination of medication, possible to include permeation enhancer in the newlineformulation. A suitable transdermal drug delivery system should be flexible and newlinepossess good adhesive properties so that it retains on the skin for the desired duration. newlineThe present work includes the development of transdermal patches for newlineTizanidine Hydrochloride, Lovastatin and Nisoldipine. newlineThe thesis contains five chapters, chapter 1 include introduction to transdermal newline
