Abstract: newlineNuclear physics techniques often have a great advantage over traditional chemical techniques for the estimation of the elemental concentration of various materials. Trace elements have been the focus of attenuation for decades with considerable emphasis on their role in biology and biomedical sciences, environmental sciences, archaeology, geology, and material science. Several nuclear techniques like NAA, AAS, XRF, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, PIXE, and Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) have been used to trace elemental analysis present in minor quantity at the level of parts per million (ppm). newlineIn recent years, research on the role of trace elements and minerals in different metabolic processes and their impact on human health has become an area of particular concern. The functional role of trace elements is described in terms of their nutritionally essential role in their potential toxicity. The essential trace elements such as P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, and Se have a crucial and important role in the survival of human life and maintenance of good health. The excess or deficiency of trace elements can be toxic for human beings. Medicinal plants are commonly used in traditional medicine for treating and preventing ailments and are generally considered as healthcare resources. The traditional system of medicine has a heritage of community acceptance and the experience and knowledge of local herbalists, who can utilize the enormous diversity of plants. newlineThe purpose of this study is to determine trace elemental concentrations such as P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Se, Br, Rb, and Sr in selected medicinal plants of Telangana state using EDXRF technique, which was used for curing various diseases i.e. Cancer, Asthma, Skin diseases, and Jaundice. Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) technique was used for the determination of elemental concentrations in ppm level. A series of plants Standard Reference Material (SRM) values of NIST 1515 apple leaf was used to check the reliability of the diffe
