dc.description.abstract | Tourism is a fastest growing Industry in the World. It is considered as smokeless Industry. In the recent past, Tourism has grown as one of the key sectors of the World economy. It is being recognized as one of the largest industry in the World. It is now necessary for us to know, why we call Tourism as an Industry . We call tourism as an Industry because it amalgams/combinations so many industries like accommodation, travel agency, transport, airlines etc. In fact, nature has provided us so many Natural beauties like thousands miles of Beaches, Hill Stations, Mountains, Rivers, Forest, Desserts, Unique Culture, Life Style, Languages, Oceans, Seas, Islands, Waterfalls, Glaciers, Snowfall, Flora and Fauna etc. These are turning into important tourist attractions for International and Domestic Tourists. (Kamra. K. K., 2009) newlineIn the era of Globalization, we have realized the importance of tourism Industry. Tourism generates employment, foreign exchange and conservation of Natural as well as Cultural Heritage. Tourism is such type of Industry, which increases the employment and economy for both developed and developing Countries. Tourism is an engine of economic growth for becoming most important parts of the world. It creates a large newline21 newlinenumber of employments both skilled as well as unskilled. In Indian Scenario, Tourism Industry may play a major role for decreasing unemployment. newlineEven being widely recognized, Tourism as a global industry, its recognition is a debatable issue because a few scholars in the field are against it, whereas others consider tourism as a profit making industry. Some Scholars find that Tourism Industry doesn t exist because it doesn t produce a distinct product. Opposing this view, a number of Scholars including Robinson believe that tourism is a dynamic industry which doesn t sell any tangible products/goods. It provides services to its customers.
