To Study The Efficacy of Panchajiraka Paka in Sutikavastha

Abstract

Healthy woman is need of todayand#8223;s era. She plays an important role in her life from birth to death. To be a mother is an unique grating boon to every female.Hence, healthy motherhood has a great importance. newline Ashtang sangraha one of the basic grantha of Ayurveda has also mentioned motherhood as a base of healthy baby. newline Among the reproductive phase of womanand#8223;s life, sutikavastha i.e. puerperal stage of delivered woman is a crucial stage which may be more complicate if there is no good care. newline Maternal mortality has 35 % contribution overall as per WHO. newline Because of physiological changes during ANC, she is immune compromised. Hence Ayurveda has described Sutika paricharya in detail. newline Aacharya Bhavaprakash has described panchjiraka paka in Sutikavastha as a garbhashaya shodhaka and sankuchaka, Vedanahara, vatanulomaka, deepana,pachana, stanyajanana. newline Thus the comparative study was done between full term delivered patients given Panchjiraka paka and Antibiotics. newline
