Abstract: | The advancement in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) provides new opportunities for growth and development in different countries worldwide. ICT has been recognized as the base of the social and economic empowerment of any country. ICT is also the biggest change agent in flattering the world. The structure of ICT in the public domain is a complex exercise to satisfy the need of governments service users. The innovation in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) helps to reduce the cost, increase efficiency, availability, reliability, accountability, transparency, and security in accessing public services on the internet. The research is an effort to study the level of awareness and satisfaction of different service users. This study tries to discuss the differences between traditional and modern approaches to providing public services to citizens. This research has attempted to study various factors that are responsible for efficient, accountable, and transparent government. This study specifically addresses the E-Government initiatives that put a direct impact on citizens and they can derive benefits from online public services. The main focus of the study is to find out the barriers while implementing the E-Governance services in the rural area. newlineThe study has used both primary and secondary sources to identify the views of the public related to ICT based environment for public services. The person observation, interviews, and questionnaires are used to collect the experience of the public on the subject of ICT based environment for delivering public service The notified policies of government, reports and published research work have also been used in the study as a secondary source of information. newline newline |
