Abstract: The thesis incorporates detailed sequence and bio-event stratigraphic analysis of the Kunzam La (Parahio) Formation in the Chandra, Parahio and Pin valleys of the Spiti region, Tethyan Himalaya. The work recognises several transgressive-regressive fourth-order depositional cycles (T-R) and three depositional sequences (Sequence 1, 2 and 3) and six bio-events were recognised within the Kunzam La (Parahio) Formation. newline
