Abstract: The thesis entitled Development of Improved Model for the Surface newlineFinish of Ball Bearing (Deep Groove) by Optimizing Cutting Parameter is newlinesubmitted for the award of the degree of doctor of philosophy in Department of newlineMechanical, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jagannath University, newlineJaipur. It embodies the investigations carried out under the guidance and newlinesupervision of Dr. Manish Bhargava, Associate Professor, National Institute of newlineTechnology, Agartala. newlineThe main objective of this thesis is to identify the causes and factors, newlinewhich effects the performance of the deep groove ball bearing. It s impact on newlinemachineries and then after the market survey and industrial in-house survey in X newlinecompany, one of the major issue in bearing is noise to minimize the noise newlineoptimization of cutting parameter (RPM, Dress Compensation, Dress feed rate newlineetc.) of deep groove ball bearing is important as which improves the surface newlinefinish of ball bearing. newlineThe focus of this thesis to optimize the cutting parameters to improve the newlinesurface finish of ball bearings and then to reduce the noise rejection rate of Deep newlineGroove Ball Bearing (6205). This work is devoted to the problem of bearing newlinemainly use in automobile sector especially in 2-wheelers, and defect in bearing newlineeffects the performance of complete. The DMAIC techniques is used to show the newlineoverall dependency and relation of parameters on bearings. MINITAB software is newlineused to make mathematical equations with the help of regression analysis.
