dc.description.abstractThe past was agrarian and then industrial while the present and the future are and will be entrepreneurial (Rusu, 2014). India has taken big strides towards developing its technology function in order to grow its economy. The state has taken due efforts to implement the strategic direction that it has set for itself for technological development by setting up a dedicated ministry to work on science and technology. The early years since independence was spent on creating universities, Research and Development (RandD) labs and policies that nurture science and technology in the country. These efforts of state support has fructified into the growth of Information Technology (IT) sector, substantial increase in the research publications and positioned India as an important RandD location for global product development. newline
