Abstract: | Due to the introduction of novel drugs, it becomes necessary to develop newer analytical methods for such drugs. It involved adapting an existing method or making minor changes so as to make it suitable for the new applications. The identification of novel drug targets is of great importance for the development of new pharmaceutical products. Quality products ensure that better end results in terms of health are achieved. The antiviral therapy is to minimize symptoms and infectivity as well as to shorten the duration of illness. The present work describes rapid, simple, sensitive and selective analytical methods for determination of antiviral drugs in combined dosage form. Thus a RP-HPLC technique was developed for the evaluation of Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir and applied this technique for the evaluation of marketed formulation. Also a RP-HPLC stability indicating method for Lamivudine and Zidovudine in a combined dosage form was developed by carrying out Forced Degradation studies and applying the method for the estimation of marketed preparation and to identify the structures of generated degradants and establish the degradation pathway. |
