Abstract: | Agriculture is the backbone of India wherein about 70% of the population depends on agriculture. Farmers have a wide range of diversity to select suitable fruit and vegetable crops. However, the cultivation of these crops for optimum yield and quality produce is highly technical. It can be improved by the aid of technological support. Damage to leaves is mainly from weather, chemicals, mechanical, nutritional problems and cultural problems. Pathogens are fungi, bacteria, viruses, insects and mites. Plant diseases have turned into a nightmare as they can cause a significant reduction in both the quality and quantity of agricultural products. Thus, negatively influence the countries that primarily depend on agriculture in its economy. Consequently, the detection of plant diseases is essential for a healthy yield. Monitoring crops to detect diseases plays a key role in successful cultivation. newline newlineThe naked eye observation of experts is the main approach adopted in practice which is expensive in large farms. Furthermore, in some developing countries, farmers may have to go long distances to contact experts. This makes consulting experts to very expensive and time-consuming. Plant leaf classification is the major problem and also their diseases are also a major problem. In simple words, when the leaf had been infected or attacked, the other areas had been exposed to be infected. Thus, it will decrease the life of the plant. There is the overlapping of the plant diseases problem. Plants play an important role in our lives, without plants there will not be the existence of the ecology of the earth. A large amount of leaf types now makes the human being in a front of some problems in the specification of the use of plants; they first need to know the use of a plant is the identification of the plant leaf. newline newlineThe problem with a number of these techniques is that they require some manual intervention such as correctly orienting the image or identifying the endpoints of the leaf s main vein. Another problem is to identify |
