Experimentation was carried out for plain newlinetube solar water heating system and compare it with Delta- type hindrance promoter newlineto see the maximum enhancement in heat transfer rate. newlineIn this present work, solar water heater (SWH) equipped with a Delta- type hindrance newlinepromoter is reported as a substantial and impressive design development which has newlinebeen utilized to increase thermal enhancement in the SWH. An experimental study is newlineperformed to analyze the influence of distinct parameters of the hindrance promoter newlineon heat transfer and friction factor in a SWH. The SWH is provided by the hindrance newlinepromoter with delta winglet which is imposed on the both side (upper and lower) of newlinethe copper strip and then this strip is inserted into the absorber tube. The range of the newlinedistinct parameters of the delta-winglet such as pitch ratio varies from ( = 0.5, 1.0, newline1.5 and 2.0) the blockage ratio varies from ( = 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 and 0.25), angle of newlineattack varies from ( =15and#730;, 30and#730;, 45and#730; and 60and#730;) spacer length ranges vary from ( = 0 newlineto 600 mm) and Reynolds number(and#119877;and#119890;) ranges from (200-1800). The experimental newlineoutcomes show that the influence of the optimum parameter such as = 0.5, = newline0.2, = and#61616; 45 and = 0 mm will provide the substantial effect on and w f . The newlineimprovement obtained in Nusselt number ( wNu ) is 4.56 times higher than the smooth newlinetube.
