Abstract: WLANs are being deployed in various installations; e.g. houses, schools, colleges, airports, military facilities, shops, apartments and societies etc., due to their easy and feasibility of installation and cost as passive attacks are more prone to home usersand small organizations at different security levels. These attacks include Eaves dropping, wormhole, DOS, etc. WLAN requires the implementation of all layers of network security, which include wireless, routing and LAN end to end security. Wireless base stations in wireless sensor networks cannot communicate with each other directly. The research has been done in two phases; first at WLAN where the security is enhanced using Authentication and Key Agreement protocol and the second by improving quality of services using WSN.They all are related to each other by base stations. The WSNs suffer from many disadvantages like congestion problems at times when many users are communicating at same time. In theresearch, node-to-node communications are proposed to remove the disadvantage of regular congestion and security issues in wireless sensor networks. A secure routing protocol for multi-hop sensor networks (MCNs) is proposed. The approach of this routing protocol is established to secure and short route between source and destination. The simulation results show that its better performance in time, storage and energy consumption in WLAN. Wireless Sensor Networks consist of thousands of autonomous sensor nodes. These nodes are collaborated to collect and process the data from the sender and to communicate with the base station. These networks are helpful in monitoring physical and environmental conditions such as sound, pressure, temperature etc. Sensor Nodes consist of different parts: a transceiver, a microcontroller, an interface circuit, and a battery. The wireless base stations in wireless sensor networks cannot communicate with each other directly. They all are related to each other by base stations. The WSNs suffer from many disadvantages like congestion probl
