Abstract: The present study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude on selected aspects of first aid emergencies and its management of school students among B.Ed. students in selected colleges, Coimbatore. A quasi experimental research design, one group pretest and posttest experimental design was adopted for the present study. The samples for the study consists of 300 B.ED students were selected by convenient sampling techniques. A structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding selected aspects of First Aid emergencies and it s Management of school children. The present study was conducted for a period of 6 months duration. The instructional materials which are used in the process of teaching through power point presentation and the booklet that containing. The teaching took about 45 minutes. Each college was visited by the researchers separately at different days, and the students were divided into group at each colleges, each group was included 15 students. The posttest was conducted after a time interval of 1 month with the same questionnaire to assess the effectiveness of structure teaching programme on improving the knowledge and attitude on selected aspects of First Aid emergencies and its Management of school children. The descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. In knowledge the pretest mean value is 18.10 and post teat mean value is 43.55. The posttest mean values reveal that the knowledge and attitude has improved significantly all the areas. Hence the hypothesis was accepted. In correlation, there was no correlation between pretest knowledge score and attitude score and there was a significant positive correlation between knowledge score and attitude score in posttest. In Association of selected demographic variables with level of knowledge and attitude in posttest scores, the and#61539;2 value for B.Ed student s demographic variables are not significant at 0.01 levels.
