Abstract: Energy Efficiency and conservation in textile sector is becoming newlineessential in view of the expected shortages in energy supply and textile sector newlinebeing one of the growing sectors of the world economy Textile wet newlineprocessing consumes significant portion of the total energy in the textile newlinesector and in the wet processing, dyeing process occupies a significant place newlinefor contributing towards both air and water pollution The wastewater newlinegenerated in the dyeing process is extremely high and Green House Gases newlineemission from dyeing sector are also increasing day by day Therefore newlinealternate dyeing technologies are to be considered for evaluation and analysis newlineConventional technologies are energy inefficient time consuming and not newlineenvironmental friendly The non conventional technologies considered for newlineevaluation are ultrasound assisted dyeing microwave assisted dyeing newline infrared assisted dyeing magnetic stirred hot plate dyeing It has been newlinereported in several earlier studies that all of these technologies has led to an newlineincrease in dye uptake with reduced process time energy and less effluent newlinegeneration newlineIn this study the experimental investigations are carried out using newlineNon conventional technologies like ultrasound microwave oven infrared newlinemachine and magnetic stirrer for cotton polyester and a blend of polyester newlineand cotton Temperature time and concentration are the three parameters newlinevaried in the dyeing process newline newline
