Abstract: Coloring of images provide a finer way of detailing of images. The Pseudocolor Image Processing is one which creates color for grey scale images. The images that we get from medical imaging are mostly in black and white color. The purpose of Pseudocoloring approach is that human range of vision can identify tons of color but quite rather than certain grey shades. So to get a clear perception image enhancement comes in handy. The purpose of Image enhancement in Image processing is used for the better perception of the image. The medical Images are very useful for diagnosing of diseases for patients .By using the medical images the tissues, bones, organs of the patients can be viewed. The color of the images that most of the imaging system gives is scale gray scale one. Once we color those images we can retrieve various details from those images compared to grey scale images. So we are in need of coloring them. One such approach is pseudocoloring. Pseudocolor processing determines color to grayscale images. Pseudocoloring is helpful owing to the fact that human vision recognize ample of colour comparatively with some gray shades. Apart from these uses it can be applied to different kinds of light bands among various equipments. The major goal of this research is processing of medical images using pseudocoloring. Enhanced layers of color images with varied values are visualized with multi-color perception. This research work focus on various ways by which pseudocoloring is done. The method that is used for coloring images has no exact method or solution. So by adding colors directly to images leads to confusion. So a novel method is used coloring. One such method is pseudocoloring. The pseudocoloring method which is used in our research work includes a color mapping, binary masking and colorization by using desired color. newline newlineThe medical Image processing is one which manages with the development of explicit problem which tries to deal with enhancing of crude therapeutic information which is used for specific perception and also future examination. There are many areas in medical image processing some is used in general another for particular applications. Some areas where medical image processing is used are image segmentation, image colorization etc. The first method of colorization is a creation of a color map for images. In this approach the color map is generated, there are already existing color maps like JET, autumn, summer, hot, cool etc. Out of these jet color map is better because the jet uses wide range of colors. The jet color map uses 256 colors. Such that when we are in need of many colors jet comes in hand. The second approach of pseudocoloring is creating a binary mask using area of significance. By selecting the area of significance the mask is made and then coloring is done. This method is useful when we are in need of a particular region or area. And coloring is done for those regions. The third method of colorization is by using desired color. This method is done by using morphological structural element and dilates. The different colors are obtained by using different layers and the colors are done based on the defective levels. This thesis focus on pseudocolor handling of medical pictures which can be seen by utilizing various qualities in various layers of shading picture utilizing multicolor discernment. Method is with success when used among grey pictures and recordings. This method aids in enhancement of colour and luminance esteems to a drab picture. This approach can be used for any dark scale pictures irrespective of shape and size, as in case of pictures such as meteorological pictures, therapeutic pictures and so on. newline newline newline newline
