Abstract: In this thesis investigates the enhancement of renewable power generations power quality with grid connected converters topology by using various control strategies is presented. The objective of the thesis is to present the modelling and analysis of DVSI inverter for PV and wind grid connected applications. In wind energy power system network, singly-excited induction generator (SEIG) feeding linear load, Nonlinear load, critical load is discussed. When loads are non linear voltage and current available in load side is non linear, it may cause develops harmonics the power system network. There are two types of harmonics associated with DG units; together they may cause excessive harmonic distortion at the PCC and reduced by LC or LCL filters installed at the inverter output to mitigate harmonics. The second type of harmonics is generated by non linear load and mitigated by advanced control of the DG interfacing inverter operated as PQ conditioner are reviewed and summarized. In SECS, three phase bridge rectifiers are connected to non linear loads which produces harmonics due to switching operations, which are eliminated by AFLC.To reach the load demand solar and WECS are tie lined this hybridization makes non sinusoidal voltages and currents in distribution network. This harmonics are greatly mitigated by employing electric spring. Tie line power quality issues are reduced by adopting fuzzy logic controllers. Maximum power extracted from solar and WECS by using maximum power point tracking approach (incremental conductance). The occurrence of fault in distribution network also discussed, due to fault voltage sag or swells are occurred. This problem is reduced by using DVR. The proposed methodologies simulated in MATLAB/SIMLINK software and analyzed results in detail. newline newline newline newline newline newline
