Abstract: Inflammation plays a vital role in host defense but chronic low grade inflammation is newlineassociated with type II diabetes mellitus and hypertension may result in metabolic syndrome newlineand endothelial dysfunction. The present study was aimed to explore the association of newlineinflammation among the patient visited Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, newlinePondicherry, India with metabolic syndrome, diabetic mellitus and hypertension by measuring the oxidative stress bio-markers, enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant levels, newlineinflammatory markers, Nitric oxide levels, cardiovascular risk marker, homocysteine and newlineother biochemical test includes lipoprotein (a), Oxidized LDL (oxi-LDL), Lipid profile, Apo newlineProtein A (Apo (a)) and Apo Protein B (Apo(b)). Result showed there is significant increased newlinein the inflammatory markers, homocysteine, oxi-LDL, Apo (a) and Apo(b) with concomitant newlinedecrease in the enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant levels, Nitric oxide results in newlineoxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction involved in plaque in stabilization and vascular newlineremodeling leads to vascular stiffness which may results in hypertension followed by newlinemetabolic syndrome and diabetes. The present study evidently concludes that chronic low newlinegrade inflammation leads to generation of oxidative stress, results in endothelial dysfunction newlinewhich may be responsible for the development of atherosclerosis by more prone in the studied hypertension patients followed by metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus patients. newline newline
