Abstract: | Present research aims to study the relationship of Teacher s Collective Efficacy in relation to certain psychosocial attributes as Job Satisfaction and Transformational Leadership and Demographic variables of teachers in secondary schools. Main research objectives of the study are: To investigate the present status of Teacher Collective Efficacy of teachers in secondary schools; To find out the relationship between Teacher Collective Efficacy and Psychosocial Attributes of teachers in secondary schools; To find out the relationship between Teacher Collective Efficacy and Demographic Factors of teachers in secondary schools; To find out the predictor variables of Teacher Collective Efficacy among teachers in secondary schools and to find out the significant differences in Teacher collective efficacy with reference to psychosocial attributes and demographic variables. Researcher used quantitative survey and then found out the correlation between research variables. Ex Post Facto research method was used primarily and both correlational and differential analysis were conducted. Random Cluster sampling method was used to select the sample (100 teachers) from secondary schools of Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. There were three tools used: Teacher s Job Satisfaction Scale constructed by Nasrin and AfshanAnees, Self-constructed tools Teacher Collective Efficacy Scale and Transformational Leadership Scale . Educational implications of research in administration are more on improving Training programs for Principals, improving hiring process for principals, improving academic facilities in schools etc. Educational implications of research for teachers are more on developing a sense of friendship and solidarity, work alongside principal, help with good suggestions for improving educational environment in the institution etc. newline |
