Biomaterials have been used to enhance wound healing since the earliest medicine-related writings. Since twentieth century it has become an integral part of the medical industry. The use polymer/nano-particle and their composites based studies are in embryonic stage. During the past two decades, research into nanocomposites has led to the development of materials with properties that are far superior to those of not only the parent materials but also of conventional microcomposites. Nanocomposites are newlineorganic inorganic hybrid materials where the inorganic filler has at least one newlinedimension in the nanometer scale. The synthesis and characterization of polymer nanocomposites have recentlyreceived significant attention because of the appropriateness of the ultimate properties of the materials towards a wide range of potential applications. Recently the role of carbon nanotubes based antiseptic bandages was investigated for newlineits antimicrobial activity, however carbon nanotubes are toxic and unsafe for wound newlinehealing applications. Recently the click chemistry philosophy has provided a powerful tool for tailormade synthetic components with unprecedented structural characteristics and newlineproperties. The copper catalyzed variant of the Huisgen 1,3and#8208; dipolar cycloaddition has been marked as the cream of the crop of click reactions, so much that it is now often referred to as the click chemistry reaction . Keeping in mind the current advancement in synthetic strategy, during the course of newlinethe present research work, we have also investigated click chemistry route for the newlinesynthesis of a new monomer via click reaction, also performed its polymerization via free radical polymerisation and analysed its potency for wound healing . Considering newlinethe efficiency of DMAPMA in wound healing we utilized it as a co-monomer with the newlineclick product, which facilitated the self-assembly of polymers leading to exotic newlinenanostructures with transitioning morphologies. newline newline
