Abstract: The present study is a survey type involving descriptive research is entitled newline Readiness for Implementation of E-learning in Colleges of Education and newlineAssessment of E-learning Needs Among its Faculty Members and Students newlinewhich it was going to assess readiness in e-learning implementation with respect newlineto ICT infrastructure, human resources, finance, psychological and content from newlinepoint view of heads/ principals of the colleges of education and analyze needs on newlinee-learning components, e-skills knowledge of faculty members and students of newlineB.Ed. colleges affiliated by University of Mysore in Karnataka state of India. newlineNumbers of Education Colleges as sample were 35 which have been distributed in newlinedifferent districts; Mysore city, Mandiya, Kollegal, Acetate Town and Hassan newlinedistricts. Criterion variables included; readiness for implementation of e-learning newlineand needs assessment. Also background variables covered; gender, types of newlineinstitutions (Governmental /Private aided / Private Unaided), different teachinglearning newlinesubjects (Science/Art/Language), level of education (UG/PG/Doctorate) newlineand Length of experience in years for faculties. Three different questionnaires newline(readiness for implementation of e-learning questionnaire, faculty members elearning newlineneeds questionnaire and students e-learning needs questionnaire) were newlinemade by researcher. Sample size to represent for heads/principals were 31, for newlinefaculty members were 186 and students were 346. All three tools were in English newlinelanguage but they become translated to Kannada language (local language of the newlineKarnataka state) also. All tree questionnaires were validated to check on face and newlinecontent validity scanned and reviewed with the help of 8 experts before pilot newlinestudy. a pilot study was conducted on a sample of 31 questionnaires for readiness newlinetool, 45 faculty members and 45 students.
