Abstract: Tourism is an important phenomenon observed by all civilizations across the world. According to WTTC, India ranked 10 among 185 countries in terms of travel and tourism s total contribution to GDP in 2019. Hotel industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of hospitality industry in India. According to the Ministry of Tourism s annual report for 2019 20, over 87 million people were employed in the tourism industry in 2018 19. This is attributed to a strong performance of service sector which contributed almost half of India s GDP 49.33 percentage in 2019. According to Ministry of Tourism, in 2020, there were 1415 star categorized hotels with a total room inventory of 109019 in India giving enormous employment opportunity in this sector. Being a guest oriented industry, it is imperative for hotel organizations to address the job satisfaction needs of their employees. The purpose of the study is: newline1. To identify parameters of job satisfaction for managerial and non-managerial employees in Indian luxury hotels. newline2. To study the relationship between demographic variables and Job Satisfaction among employees in Indian luxury hotels. newline3. To compare the Job Satisfaction level of managerial and non-managerial employees. newline4. To suggest measures to improve Job Satisfaction level among managerial and non-managerial employees. newlineIn the present study, Primary data was collected from the employees of 5 Star hotels of NCR. For collecting data 20 questionnaires were given to each of the 25 hotels in order to collect the perception of 500 respondents for the present study. Further the data was edited for errors or missing values and out of 500 questionnaires, 400 were found appropriate for the present study. Thus, the total sample size used for the study was N 400. newlineThe results identified that the behavior of superiors was significant with regard to the demographic variables tenure and qualification. newlineFurther, the present study s dimension and its testing would provide an insight to hospitality researchers newline newline
