Abstract: The conclusions drawn in the course of the foregoing chapters show that there is a conspicuous correspondence between the aesthetic formulations of modern literary theories of the West and those of the Sanskrit literary theories of India. In both schools, there are two seminal aspects: the language of literature and its meaning. The intersection between the theory of vakrokti and Russian formalism establishes this correspondence from the point of view of the language of literature, while the intersection between and#256;nandavardhana s theory of dhvani and deconstruction confirms it from the point of view of meaning. newline
