dc.description.abstractvi newlineABSTRACT newlineIn Digital Communication, the study of channel equalization is very interesting and research oriented topic. Channel Equalizer is used to remove ISI (Intersymbol Interference) produced by channel environment due to non-flat frequency response of channel or multipath reception of channel. Nowadays very deep research is going on channel equalizers, with new approach to equalizers algorithms. To develop and simulate equalizer algorithm is itself a challenging work. newlineChannel equalizer is basically two types, Linear Equalizer and Non Linear Equalizer. In Linear Equalizer there is ZFE (Zero-forcing Equalizer), LMMSE (Linear Minimum Mean Square Error), LMS (Least Mean Square) or Gradient Equalizer and RLS (Recursive Least Square). I have successfully simulated ZFE, LMMSE, LMS, RLS Equalization algorithms. newlineAlso in System realization using Equalization, I have done extensive work on QPSK and Pi/4 DQPSK Equalization. I have simulated ZFE and LMMSE Equalization algorithm for QPSK and Pi/4 DQPSK modulation scheme. And observed how eye diagram and constellation diagram improves after doing equalization. ISI is observed by eye diagram. newlineIn my thesis I have made algorithms programs in MATLAB. No source code is attached. I found this work is very interesting and MATLAB itself is very powerful tool to simulate this type of work. newline
