Abstract

The research work embodied here in the form of thesis under the title Rural newlineTransformation Through Rural Roads in Uttar Pradesh with Special newlineReference to PMGSY: A Critical Analysis is carried out with the aim to newlineidentify the various key parameters of construction of rural roads on society, newlineespecially on rural population of the country, welfare of households as a whole. newlineResearch proposal and plan was executed in a systematic and planned manner. newlineI carried out my research work on the households of five Blocks; two newlinefrom district Shravasti and three from district Sitapur of Uttar Pradesh, India. newlineA questionnaire was designed with pre-decided and predetermined set of newlinequestion and the response of 1046 respondents was recorded which was newlineanalysed using various statistical tools and techniques to draw the inference newlineand to reach to the conclusions as listed towards the end of this thesis. newline
