Abstract: | Context awareness is a major component in ubiquitous or pervasive computing. In simple words, context awareness is about an entity s surrounding environment, its properties, entities in the environment, communication among entities and their impact on the changes in the environment. In context aware computing, the system actions or services are decided by the context and context changes. A context aware system should be intelligent enough to handle all situations in order to achieve the goal in a satisfactory manner. A context aware system should respond to all context changes if all context changes are addressed in the design of the context aware system. The developers of a context aware system should include and embed newlineall possible environmental context changes and relevant decisions that are appropriate to the application domain. When a change occurs in the environmental context, the system matches it to the existing known context and selects the relevant action. The system does not know of an action when an unknown context occurs as it was not addressed in the designing of the context aware system. Normally, the context aware adaptation process was designed as a rule. Context conditions will decide the decision to be taken. All the context changes and its corresponding newline |
