Effect of aggression replacement training on social problem solving skills self esteem and academic achievement of vii grade students with aggressive behaviour

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to explore the effect of Aggression Replacement Training on Social Problem Solving Skills, Self esteem and Academic Achievement of VII grade students with aggressive behaviour. The sample consisted of 64 students studying in the Government schools of Chandigarh. The assessment tools were Social Problem Solving Skills Inventory and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale. The academic achievement was assessed from the semester examination scores. The findings of the study revealed that Aggression Replacement Training has significantly improved Social Problem Solving Skills, Self-Esteem and Academic Achievement of participants who were part of the experimental group. Adversely, control group participants have not shown any significant improvement in their Social Problems Solving Skills, Self Esteem and Academic Achievement. newline
