Abstract: quothe study shows that this medicinal plant viz. Corchorus olitorius is a promising source newlineof various activities and may be efficient as preventive agents in the pathogenesis of newlinesome diseases. However, the strength of the existing data is not enough to suggest a newlinereasonable mode of action. More study is needed to separate and indentify active entities newlinewhich are responsible for antioxidant activity. newlineOn the basis of blood biochemical parameters, it is finalize that: Corchorus olitorius at newline100 and 200 mg/kg B.W has antidiabetic potential in STZ induced diabetes. newlineCorchorus olitorius has effective wound healing potential Corchorus olitorius at 100 newlineand 200 mg/kg B.W orally has not only anti-diabetic potential but also an excellent newlinewound healing property. However, the study needs further investigations and further newlinevalidations. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease with abnormal glucose newlinehomeostasis, due to defects in secretion or action of insulin. Animal model are useful for newlinestudy many diseases .Disease in animals are produce by spontaneously, chemically, newlinesurgically genetically or by other technique. Other findings of the study suggest that the newlineCorchorus olitorius is also produced beneficial effects in complications of the diabetes newlinemellitus and wound healing potential. The present study findings shows usefulness of newlineCorchorus olitorius streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Our study suggested that newlineCorchorus olitorius dose-dependently produced antidiabetic activity. In this study might newlinebe helpful to understand the role of Corchorus olitorius in the clinical treatment of newlinediabetes mellitus. newlineThe Corchorus olitorius has also seems have potent hypolipidemic activity, which newlinelowers the cholesterol, triglyceride, total proteins and increasing high-density newlinelipoproteins levels. The mechanism has pointed towards, inhibiting cholesterol and newlinetriglyceride synthesis. Our study indicates the role of antioxidant activities of Corchorus newlineolitorius and active constituents play a role in preventing diabetic complications and wound healing
