Abstract: In India, degree college teachers are associated with degree colleges which are teaching institutes of higher institutes. This study presents professionalism career advancement and networking of degree college teachers working in two states of India; Punjab and Haryana. While reviewing the literature, professionalism career advancement and networking was identified under five dimensions each for them. Thus the conceptualization model for professionalism was identified under dimensions such as; Code of Conduct, Teacher Competence, Teacher commitment, teaching practice and teacher collaboration; career advancement under; career knowledge, intention towards work, support and guidance from mentor, gender equity and motivation and networking such as; attitude towards computer usage, sense of responsibility towards community, communication, interpersonal relationships and usefulness of networking. Data was collected by floating a self-made questioner to degree college teachers of two states working in Punjab and Haryana degree colleges. Sample consists of 300 female and 300 male degree college teachers for different 20 degree colleges situated in Punjab and Haryana from the analyses of data collected, it was observed that gender and region contribute towards differences among degree college teachers while assuming their professionalism career advancement and networking. While performing factorial analyses on professionalism career advancement and networking, it was seen that region and gender both have significant effect. Correlation results summarizes that three dependent variables positively associated with each other indicating that teachers can reach the heights in the teaching profession if they understand and are capable to do things under the perceived dimensions of professional career advancement and networking. newline
