The present study was undertaken to evaluate the influence of the Gymnema slyvestre, Karela and Momordica cymbalaria [wild karela] on anti-diabetic and anti-obesity molecular mechanistic cascade markers like PPARand#947; (Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor gamma) and GLUT-4 (Glucose transporter-4), Adiponectin, Resistin, leptin , EPB-and#945; , Visfatin, pertaining to antilipidymic and newlineglucose metabolism, transport. Methanolic leaves extract of Gymnema slyvestre, and methanolic fruit extract of Momordica cymbalaria these plant extracts were analysed with different concentrations and newlinecombinations to screen for potent anti-diabetic as well as anti-obesity properties employing cell based assays. newlinePlant extracts of Gymnema, Karela, Momordica cymbalaria fruit extract ranging from 62.5 to 750 and#956;g/mL were evaluated for glucose uptake activity in vitro using L6 myotubes, Rosiglitazone was used as newlinea reference standard.
